1 in 5 users in Brazil removed tags from photos posted on social networks

A recent study of Brazialian social network users inquired about security and privacy reaching the following results:

  • 45% of users have their Facebook profile set as private (only seen by friends), a lower figure comparing to that of USA (59%)
  • 63% of them share photos on social networks
  • 29% share videos
  • 35%, personal data
  • 14%, their geolocalization
  • 21% of users deleted some tag from a photo (37% in the USA)
  • 38% removed a friend or more from their friends’ list
  • 45% deleted a comment from their wall
  • 73% do not accept friend requests coming from unknown users
  • 41% do not trust Facebook regarding their personal data’s privacy
